S.M.H. Cooper lives in New England with their husband and manic pixie cat named after the musician Laura Nyro. In years past, they developed and implemented interdisciplinary programs, exhibits, and even planetarium shows for all ages at museums and informal education organizations. They have published non-fiction ranging from astronomy to the writing craft, including upcoming work in SFWA’s Planetside publication.
A lifelong devourer of speculative fiction, they bring stories, characters, and worlds to life on their blue 1950s Royal Futura 800 typewriter to share with others desperate to consume contemplations on life, the universe, and humanity.
Currently, for novels, S.M.H. Cooper is querying a Middle Grade speculative novel set on a lunar space station and have works-in-progress including a science fantasy and a contemporary fiction. In short fiction, they are querying various speculative short stories.
